We offer feel good wear for active living: High-quality, durable and therefore sustainable sports and leisure wear for men and women. Our products work around the clock, are casual but never careless. Feel good is always the focus.

  • 1977

    JOY Sportswear GmbH was founded on 1st January 1977 by Claus-Dieter Grapentin and Norbert Pfletschinger.

    Two years later JOY sportswear is the first German brand manufacturer to introduce jogging tracksuits to the market.

  • 1981

    JOY sportswear becomes the largest German importer of sweatwear.

    Introduction of the BASIC programme and birth of pants Marcus, which is still today one of our best selling products.

    Introduction of a BASIC storage service and development of a depot concept (NOS), to react even faster and better to our customers requirements.

    JOY sportswear is the first manufacturer to offer sportswear trousers in three lengths: short, medium and long.

    Relocation to the new built head office with integrated warehouse in Ottensoos near Nuremberg.

  • 2020

    The parent group Melchers Group merges the brands JOY sportswear, Venice Beach and HOT sportswear to Scoretex/HOME OF BRANDS with head office in Ottensoos and a branch office in Hamburg.

    Reiner Unkel becomes CEO and management spokesman and Bernhard Helfrich CSO.
